Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Cranberry Township, PA, is seeking an Engineer 1 - Mechanical to support fatigue aging management in nuclear power plants. You will join a team performing ASME Section III and XI analyses and assist design documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 1+ years of experience with ANSYS Workbench, APDL, MATLAB and Mathcad, and a path toward PE licensure. Hybrid work and in-office 2 days per week are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Technical writing skills to support calculation notes and topical reports
• Understand technical reports and interface with team on issues
• Working toward a professional engineering license
• 1+ years of experience with ANSYS Workbench / APDL, MATLAB, Mathcad

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of engineers performing ASME Section III and ASME Section XI analyses
• Support design related efforts including ASME design specifications, design reports, design and assembly drawings
• Work with suppliers supporting manufacture and assembly of components
• Communicate with other technical disciplines to support design, qualification, fabrication and installation
• Present to peers on technical and project related topics
