Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and construction of mechanical power plant equipment for mega-projects or advanced reactors.

You will report to the Manager of Auxiliary Equipment & Valve Engineering in a hybrid role with 2–3 days on-site at the Cranberry Township, PA headquarters. This role involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver reliable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Responsibilities

• Develop design requirements for mechanical power plant equipment (pumps, valves, heat exchangers).
• Write specifications and develop designs for auxiliary equipment in nuclear plants.
• Identify problems and propose solutions across projects and tasks.
• Support senior engineers in design and analysis efforts.
• Provide sound technical evaluations for critical decisions.
• Communicate work status to technical leads and management.
• Collaborate with construction, I&C, electrical, and operations teams.
• Participate in customer, vendor, and regulator meetings to present materials.
