Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I - HVAC and Fluid System to contribute to the design and analyses for AP1000 and AP300 nuclear power plants. The role is hybrid, located at Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC, with on-site work two days per week.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; alternate degrees considered with component design experience.
• Graduates in 2026 or May 2027 encouraged to apply.
• Hybrid role with on-site work two days per week.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze HVAC and fluid systems for AP1000 and AP300 power plants.
• Collaborate with component, system and manufacturing leads on integration and procurement issues.
• Develop test plans with testing organization for functional and qualification testing.
• Create project schedules with project managers and subsystem/component leads.
• Lead complex technical projects coordinating diverse teams to meet schedule and budget.
• Apply applicable codes and standards (NRC/DOE/ASME) to turbine island interfaces.
