Job summary

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and detail mechanical components and machinery for automotive manufacturing lines. Responsibilities include fabrication, operation, installation, and repair of mechanical products within material handling systems.

Applications Engineering focus includes cost estimation, bid proposals, and collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 0-2 years experience in mechanical engineering & designing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2012 or higher) and Excel required.
• Experience with Inventor and MS Project is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and detail mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Estimate costs for mechanical and structural components of material handling systems.
• Visit customer sites for pre-bid and proposal development.
• Assist in bid proposals and interface with customer engineers.
• Interface with fabrication/manufacturing teams and perform CAD drafting.
