Newport News Shipbuilding, A Division of HII, seeks engineers to research, design, and develop mechanical products and structural specifications for Reactor Plant structures on the Virginia Class Submarine program. You will provide waterfront and manufacturing engineering support, resolve technical discrepancies, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements include ABET-accredited engineering degree with 5 years of exempt experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years; US citizenship is required for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program; 5 years of relevant exempt experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop mechanical products and structural engineering specifications for Reactor Plant structures on the Virginia Class Submarine program.
• Provide waterfront and manufacturing engineering support.
• Resolve technical discrepancies.
• Mentor junior engineers.
