Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Madison is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to help clients achieve energy-efficient building solutions and greener outcomes. You’ll work with seasoned engineers and contribute to project success in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have a BSME/BSAE from an ABET‑accredited school, 1+ year HVAC design experience in complex facilities, and involvement in student activities. EIT/FE is a plus; internship in MEP consulting is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSME/BSAE from ABET accredited school.
• 1+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred.
• EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus.
• Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.
• Expertise in engineering design software (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations, determine system sizing and layouts, and select equipment.
• Complete field surveys and review equipment shop drawings.
• Lead mechanical project teams as you gain experience.
• Write specifications and participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants.
