Job summary

Qnity, a leader in materials and solutions for advanced electronics, is hiring a Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer. This role collaborates with sales and manufacturing to meet customer design targets, with on-site three days weekly.

You will create 3D models in SolidWorks or Creo, perform FEA using Abaqus/ANSYS, and drive design for manufacturability and DFMEA. A strong background in metal components and EMI solutions is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field, manufacturing exp preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with precision metals, EMI solutions.
• 8+ years of design experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer-specific designs optimized for manufacturability.
• Analyze designs using Abaqus/Ansys and internal tools for key data.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings with SolidWorks or Creo.
• Lead new item release activities ensuring design meets manufacturing capabilities.
• Support DFMEA and manufacturability assessments.
• Report production release and design metrics.
• Assist production in troubleshooting manufacturing challenges.
• Learn new systems and share knowledge across teams.
