Job summary

RAVE Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I in California to design, develop, and test mechanical components, influencing cost, schedule, and product features. You will apply engineering principles to create sellable and internal products and collaborate with fellow engineers.

Responsibilities include component design, development from concept through validation to manufacturing, drafting, testing, fixture design, and supporting senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years of related experience in a mechanical engineering role.
• SolidWorks experience.

Responsibilities

Summary

The Mechanical Engineer I is responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components and has a significant impact on product innovation, cost, schedule, and feature sets. The position requires the application of engineering principles to the design of sellable and internal company products.

Core Responsibilities

• Component and simple assembly design

• Product development activities ranging from conceptual development, prototyping, and design validation to manufacturing and existing product support; individually and collaboratively

• Collaboration with engineers of various disciplines to develop products with electromechanical and mechanical content

• Mechanical drafting and technical document authoring

• Conduct tests, design manufacturing fixtures, support senior colleagues

• May include involvement in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of products asrequiredtoaccomplishcompany goals

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

The pay range of $89,000 - $95,000 per year reflects multiple levels. The final base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position offered, skills, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
