A leading engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their hydro mechanical engineering team in Charlotte, NC. This role requires technical responsibility across all project life cycle stages with a focus on hydro generators. The ideal candidate has over 3 years of engineering experience, strong problem-solving skills, and CAD proficiency. Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience.
• Ability to read and understand contracts requiring close attention to detail.
• Manufacturing experience (welding, machining and/or casting) is a plus.
• Solutions focused while managing internal and external customer needs.
• Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical components using in-house tools.
• Document proposals and technical reports.
• Review and approve mechanical drawings.
• Create engineering instructions for manufacturing and installation.
• Optimize hydro generator mechanical design.
