Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, in Nashua, NH, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the High Speed Engineering team. You will design High-Speed IO interconnects and cable devices, perform static, dynamic and thermal analyses, and prepare drawings and design reviews.

Responsibilities include verification testing, prototype fabrication support, and sustaining production lines. A BS in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 3–5 years electromechanical product design/support experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with structural and thermal FEA software.
• Grasp of basic electrical theory.
• Ability to read drawings and perform tolerance assessments (ASME Y-14.5 a plus).
• Proficiency with SolidWorks 2018 or higher.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop elements of High-Speed IO Interconnect and Cable devices to meet design requirements.
• Perform static, dynamic and heat transfer analyses; contribute to design reviews.
• Support verification/validation, environmental testing, and prototype fabrication.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications and reports; present design reviews.
• Support continuous improvement; lead customization for product lines when required.
• Lead sustainment efforts; provide manufacturing support and root cause analysis.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

MS in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
