L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Mechanical Engineering in Amityville, NY to design and develop high-performance mechanical systems for suspension and release on airborne platforms. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to transform requirements into innovative, reliable designs.

The role focuses on pneumatic systems, CAD design (Creo), and collaboration across engineering and operations, with on-site work in Amityville and travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; or graduate degree with 2+ years.
In lieu of degree, 8+ years of related experience.
Preferred: mechanical engineering degree.

Responsibilities

Design high performance pneumatic mechanisms/systems.
Collaborate with engineering and operations to solve design challenges.
Support conceptual and detail design with CAD.
Perform first order hand calculations and FE analysis.
Present data in design reviews (PDR, CDR).
Provide hands-on support during development, integration and test.
On-site presence in Amityville, NY.
Up to 10% travel.
Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
