Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–7 years of experience designing heavy equipment including forestry, recycling, construction, or mobile machinery.
• Strong understanding of weldment design, steel structures, and rotating machinery.
• Experience with powertrain integration, including diesel engines, PTOs, drives, and couplings.
• Proficiency with CAD modeling and GD&T.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, machining, fabrication, and assembly.

Position Summary

The Mechanical Engineer designs, develops, and supports RagnarTech’s 9400/9700 Series grinders and related mobile machinery. This role is responsible for structural design, rotor systems, feed mechanisms, powertrain integration, and manufacturability improvements while working cross-functionally with Production, Hydraulics, Electrical Controls, and Supply Chain teams.
