Job summary

Tranter-LHE Group seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze heat exchanger systems under general supervision. You’ll prepare design docs, BOMs, and routing data, and support manufacturing, operations, and sales with technical expertise.

The role requires experience in heat exchanger design and drafting, plus proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor and FEA/3D modeling. Knowledge of ERP/MRP and Microsoft Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
• 1+ year of engineering experience in the heat exchanger industry or similar.
• ASME Section VIII, Division 1 knowledge and calculations.
• AutoCAD/Inventor experience.
• FEA/3D modeling experience.
• PTC Prime, PTC Mathcad, MATLAB or similar.
• ERP/MRP experience including BOMs and routings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, PowerBI).

Responsibilities

• Designs, analyzes, and evaluates heat exchanger systems using engineering tools and industry codes/standards.
• Prepares and maintains design documentation, including drawings, calculations, FEA analyses, and technical details.
• Manages BOMs and routings within ERP/MRP systems and provides technical support to manufacturing, operations, sales, and other departments.
