Job summary

Pivot Robots, Inc. is seeking a strong, hands-on mechanical engineer to join our hardware team. You’ll design and build parts for grinding and finishing cells, turning CAD concepts into real hardware, and deploying them on customer floors to learn the process from the parts up.

You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to grow into ownership of more complex mechanical problems, on a floor-based, physical manufacturing environment that moves fast and ships real products.

Qualifications

• Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals and strong CAD skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build real hardware and iterate from CAD to finished parts.
• Willingness to learn robotic grinding and surface finishing from the ground up.
• Comfort on a factory floor and readiness to work hands-on on a physical product.

Responsibilities

• Design and build parts of grinding and finishing cells (fixturing, end effectors, mounts, guarding).
• Turn designs into real hardware: CAD, fabrication, assembly, and iteration between.
• Deploy and debug cells on customer floors and learn the process from the parts up.
• Grow into ownership of harder mechanical problems over time.
