Job summary

TPI Global Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III – Owner’s Engineer in Ira Township, MI, hybrid work arrangement. The role involves supporting gas compression and pipeline projects from scope through closeout, and coordinating with external firms and Project Managers.

Requires 5+ years of engineering experience and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, with familiarity in gas pipelines, compressor stations, and applicable codes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with natural gas pipelines and compressor stations preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME, Michigan, and federal gas codes.
• Ability to work independently with limited direction.

Responsibilities

• Support gas compression and pipeline projects from scope to closeout.
• Develop scopes of work and design criteria for external firms.
• Oversee engineering and verify codes and standards.
• Perform mechanical design for smaller projects.
• Coordinate with firms, contractors, suppliers, and project managers.
• Support procurement of project equipment and related documentation.
• Provide onsite construction and outage support.
• Develop outage procedures when required.
• Support startup, testing, and commissioning of installed equipment.
• Complete project documentation and closeout.
• Manage multiple engineering projects with limited direction.
