Job summary

FastTek Global in Michigan is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to lead and support design, construction, and commissioning of gas compression facilities.

You will coordinate with project managers, external engineers, and contractors to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget, traveling 3–5 days per week.

ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience required; procurement, field engineering, and API/ASME knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited)
• 5+ years of applied ABET engineering experience.
• Experience in procurement of engineered material, equipment and professional services.
• Coordinating/developing contract documents (RFPs), engineering drawings/technical specifications for consulting and construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate engineering on projects to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, scope, quality, cost, and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate between external engineers, material suppliers, and construction contractors to meet project requirements.
• Travel to compressor stations on average 3 days per week and up to 5 days per week.
