Job summary

TPI Global Solutions is looking for a Mechanical Engineer III for Generation Projects in Jackson, MI. This role includes supporting natural gas generation development projects, reviewing technical specifications, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. Qualifications

• 4–7 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience supporting power generation or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of P&IDs, mechanical equipment layouts, and piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical engineering activities for natural gas generation projects.
• Review and update P&IDs, equipment layouts, and construction drawings.
• Prepare technical specifications for mechanical equipment and materials.
• Review vendor submittals and equipment drawings.
• Evaluate mechanical equipment sizing, piping layouts, and fluid systems.
• Respond to RFIs and support engineering documentation.
• Support project budgeting, cost estimation, and reporting activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Perform site visits to support engineering and construction activities.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Organizational skills with attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to learn and adapt to new engineering software/tools

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Welding, or Industrial Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

Engineering degree with Professional Engineering (PE) License in Mechanical Engineering
