Job summary

Teragen Energy Corporation is building the next generation solid oxide fuel cell platform. We seek a Mechanical Engineer to drive hardware across R&D, testing, and manufacturing, reporting to the CTO and shaping fixtures, tooling, and systems awareness.

You will work hands-on across design and fabrication, partnering with scientists and engineers to translate constraints into practical hardware solutions and scalable processes for stack development and system integration.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in mechanical engineering (0–6 years experience; exceptional candidates welcome).
• Broad fundamentals in mechanical design including fixturing, DFM, prototyping, and hands-on fabrication or build experience.

Responsibilities

• Design fixtures, test stands, processing hardware, and prototype tooling for cell development and stack assembly.
• Collaborate with Stack Engineering on seals, manifolds, interconnects and assembly.
• Support outsourced fabrication when external options are faster or safer than in-house work.
• Work with Cell, Materials, Stack, and Test Engineering to translate data needs into hardware solutions.
• Maintain CAD drawings, build notes, and design documents for traceability.
