Job summary

G&G Industrial Lighting is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a fast-growing, innovative team. You will drive electrical design from R&D through production release, focusing on power electronics and PCB development for LED drivers.

The role requires hands-on expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to ensure quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• 5+ years hands-on experience designing switching power supplies, LED drivers or similar power electronics.
• Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Strong lab skills: oscilloscope, bench power supply, DMM; debug hardware at circuit level.
• Experience with UL certification (1598, 8750, or similar) is a plus.
• Familiarity with EMC testing methodologies (conducted/radiated immunity, IEC61000 series) is a plus.
• Embedded firmware experience (C, Python, or similar) is a plus.
• Experience with industrial LED lighting products or three-phase power systems is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design and product development for LED drivers, control systems and power electronics.
• Use Altium Designer for PCB layouts and maintain ECAD data throughout the project.
• Develop early-phase R&D prototypes and proof-of-concept designs.
• Create, execute and document hardware validation plans and support UL certification.
• Drive continuous product improvements and root-cause investigations.
• Design and implement production test fixtures for PCBA validation at volume.
• Own end-to-end projects, manage timelines and escalate risks as needed.
• Provide technical guidance to Sales and Support teams as needed.
