Job summary

Sigil Partners in Cleveland, OH is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to own product development from concept through production release. You will design pumps and fluid-management products, develop 3D models and drawings with GD&T, and perform fluid dynamics and stress analyses.

You will select critical components, plan testing, investigate failures, and drive corrective actions while partnering with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers to improve reliability and cost. U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from an accredited program required.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Direct design experience with pumps or fluid-handling equipment.
• Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, stress, vibration, and materials.
• Experience with CAD, analysis, testing, and root-cause investigations; Creo/ANSYS preferred.
• U.S. Person status required for access to export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Design pumps, rotating components, and fluid-management products.
• Develop 3D models, assemblies, drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups.
• Perform engineering analysis involving fluid dynamics, stress, vibration, thermal conditions, materials, and component performance.
• Design or select shafts, bearings, seals, impellers, housings, valves, and related hardware.
• Plan and evaluate testing, validation, failure investigations, and corrective actions.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers to improve performance, reliability, producibility, and cost.
• Lead design reviews and mentor developing engineers as experience allows.
