Job summary

STQ Partners in Southern California is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Fluid Systems to join our growing team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on designing, analyzing, validating, and improving fluid system products and accessories, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, sales and leadership to optimize performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional engineering experience in pumps and fluid systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling and 2D drawings, SolidWorks preferred.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience with ASME Section VIII is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, prototype and validate fluid system components and accessories.
• Evaluate approaches and perform trade-off analyses based on performance, manufacturability, reliability, cost and risk.
• Create and maintain 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks, applying GD&T and tolerance analyses.
• Develop, execute and interpret engineering test plans, issuing formal conclusions and recommendations.
• Lead first-article evaluations and provide engineering support on shop floor.
• Lead root-cause analysis and CAPA for manufacturing and field issues.
• Maintain and approve engineering data including BOMs, part numbers, drawings and specifications.
• Provide engineering support to sales and customers, including sizing calculations, product selection and application analysis.
• Support certification and regulatory compliance efforts (UL, CSA, CE, NSF, ATEX) through analysis and documentation.
