Schindler Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide onsite and remote technical support for elevator systems, focusing on troubleshooting, failure analysis, and service restoration.

You will diagnose mechanical issues, review drawings, and ensure safety-compliant corrective actions, while supporting field teams and management. This role emphasizes field engagement and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2 years minimum: Analytical competency (data mining, problem analysis; strong Excel skills)
• 2 years minimum: SAP knowledge of material management, including design and implementation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• The Mechanical Engineer – Technical Support (Service) provides onsite and remote mechanical engineering support for installed elevator systems with an emphasis on troubleshooting, failure analysis, and service restoration.
• Support is delivered via phone consultation, remote diagnostics, and direct onsite job site visits.
• Diagnose ride quality issues such as noise, vibration, leveling inconsistencies, or car sway from a mechanical perspective.
