Job summary

Procon Consulting is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support planning, design, and delivery of complex federal facilities projects. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on mission-critical infrastructure while contributing to innovative engineering solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates will possess an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and 7+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
• Experience designing and reviewing mechanical building systems for complex facilities.
• Proficiency with Revit and other commonly used CAD software.
• Ability to interpret building codes, technical standards, drawings, and specifications.
• Willingness to travel 10–20%, including occasional OCONUS travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review mechanical designs, planning documents, and technical reports for federal facilities projects.
• Design mechanical building systems and coordinate with architectural, structural, civil, and electrical disciplines.
• Conduct code compliance reviews, technical evaluations, and peer reviews of engineering deliverables.
• Support projects through design, bidding, and construction while ensuring compliance with technical standards.
• Develop project schedules, lifecycle cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Lead engineering tasks, prepare scopes of work, and provide technical and contract administration support.

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Experience designing and reviewing mechanical building systems for complex facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP).
• Autodesk Certified Professional.
