Job summary

Procon Consulting is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support planning, design, and delivery of complex federal facilities projects. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on mission-critical infrastructure while contributing to innovative engineering solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates will possess an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and 7+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of relevant experience.
EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
Experience designing and reviewing mechanical building systems for complex facilities.
Proficiency with Revit and other commonly used CAD software.
Ability to interpret building codes, technical standards, drawings, and specifications.
Willingness to travel 10–20%, including occasional OCONUS travel.

Responsibilities

Develop and review mechanical designs, planning documents, and technical reports for federal facilities projects.
Design mechanical building systems and coordinate with architectural, structural, civil, and electrical disciplines.
Conduct code compliance reviews, technical evaluations, and peer reviews of engineering deliverables.
Support projects through design, bidding, and construction while ensuring compliance with technical standards.
Develop project schedules, lifecycle cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
Lead engineering tasks, prepare scopes of work, and provide technical and contract administration support.
