Job summary

Alleima Special Metals in Kennewick, WA seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support and drive continuous improvement of specialized manufacturing equipment and processes. You will lead projects, design improvements, and ensure reliability and safety across production lines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing, with SolidWorks and reliability analytics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar design software.
• Working knowledge of statistical analysis methods for maintenance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects and develop new mechanical designs to improve equipment performance, reliability and safety.
• Revise existing designs to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate mechanical design documentation, drawings and records.
• Specify, procure and manage installation of equipment upgrades.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and Technical teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Support manufacturing process improvements through engineering analysis and data-driven decisions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
