Job summary

PROENERGY in Leawood, KS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for EPC projects, including calculations, equipment specs, and P&IDs. You will coordinate with procurement, start-up, and field teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability. Office-based role with cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree, CAD proficiency, and experience with equipment specifications and vendor submittals. US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience writing equipment procurement specifications and vendor submittals.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD and related design software is expected.
• Ability to collaborate with project teams and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design from concept to design completion for EPC projects.
• Review and produce 3D models, piping layouts, and equipment specs.
• Write technical specifications for procurement and installation.
• Coordinate with in-house and third-party designers for piping systems.
