Job summary

DVA in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Engine Installation and Cooling team for large mining trucks and off-highway applications. You will research, design, analyze, and test mechanical systems, and support integration of engine cooling interfaces on vehicle platforms.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1–4 years of experience, with hands-on CAD experience and familiarity with Creo 3D modeling.

Experience with CAD software.

Responsibilities

Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.
Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.
Perform Creo 3D modeling and change notification process.
Collaborate with other system teams for space claim as needed.
Collaborate with operations to “Go, See, Act” for factory related issues.
Review field history and implement lessons learned.
Coordinate updates to drawings and engineering notices.
Work with cross-functional teams to schedule production implementation.
