Job summary

Schneider Packaging Equipment Company, Inc. in Upstate New York seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop engineering project systems within a collaborative team.

You will deepen understanding of products, customers, goals, and business strategies while evaluating systems and processes to identify improvements for manufacturing production and quality. Responsibilities include designing equipment, developing new mechanisms, integrating ancillary gear, and ensuring projects meet budgets

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in a design-build manufacturing environment as a mechanical engineer.
• Advanced training/education in engineering, leadership and project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design equipment using established design and drafting standards.
• Develop new mechanisms and machine designs based on industry needs.
• Incorporate ancillary equipment into design projects.
• Execute projects within budgets, schedules, and Quality Plans.
• Provide mechanical design direction through installation and startup in the field.
• Travel on-site as needed for customer start-up and support.
