Job summary

You will design 3D models, run calculations, coordinate prototype testing, and document results while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions. Occasional domestic and international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T.
• Experience with electric motors, gearboxes, gearmotors, or rotating machinery preferred.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and analyze electric motors, gearboxes, gearmotors and related mechanical systems using sound engineering principles and applicable standards.
• Determine product specifications and perform engineering calculations to meet customer requirements, performance objectives and industry standards.
• Develop 3D models, technical drawings and engineering documentation to support product development and manufacturing.
• Plan, coordinate and execute prototype testing, validation activities, engineering evaluations and field failure investigations.
• Lead and support new product development, product optimization, cost reduction, quality improvement and portfolio expansion projects.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, customers and global engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and support new product development.
• Specify, evaluate and improve components, materials and mechanical systems to ensure product performance, reliability and manufacturability.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions related to product design, manufacturing and field performance issues.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing, customers, suppliers and field applications, including occasional domestic and international travel.
