By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Connected Warfare is the team at Anduril dedicated to modernizing the command and control systems of U.S. and Allied forces. New technologies and new adversaries demand a new approach to battlefield intelligence - and you will be the driving force behind the integration of cutting-edge edge compute and communications technologies that make that approach a reality.

If you bring a pioneering spirit and a record of excellence in mechanical engineering, join us in shaping the future of military might. Your work won't just create new products - it will change the balance of defense capabilities on a global scale. If you're starting to feel excited about this, we invite you to read further and learn more!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a hands‑on owner of hardware from concept to the field, you'll take real technical ownership across the full product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own Hardware End-to-End: Take your designs from concept generation all the way to real-world use in the hands of warfighters.

  • Design From the Ground Up: Engineer novel hardware for demanding mission sets, starting from a blank sheet.

  • Understand the Mission: Work directly with customers to understand real battlefield challenges - and translate them into hardware that solves them.

  • Engineer for Survival: Apply engineering first principles, analysis, and rigorous testing to ensure your designs survive the harshest battlefield conditions.

  • Get Hands‑On: Build prototypes and first articles yourself, iterating quickly from idea to physical hardware.

  • Deliver at Scale: Iterate on your designs and partner with our manufacturing team to build and ship them at volume.

  • Collaborative Innovation: Serve as a key part of a tight‑knit product team, moving fast in an environment of rapid iteration and technical excellence.

  • Direct Mission Impact: Travel to field exercises and work directly alongside warfighters, providing hands‑on support and gathering invaluable feedback for continuous improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-12 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to design, prototype, and ship hardware.

  • A proven track record of design ownership in a team setting (professional or otherwise).

  • High competence with, and fluid application of, engineering first principles.

  • Strong CAD skills (any platform) and the ability to produce high-quality engineering drawings.

  • Demonstrated hands‑on fabrication skills.

  • BS, M.Eng, MS, or PhD in an engineering field.

  • Must be a U.S. Person, due to required access to U.S. export‑controlled information or facilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.

  • Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs (motors, controllers, sensors, etc.).

  • Hands‑on experience with machining, sheet metal, composites, and 3D printing.

  • Knowledge of static, dynamic, or thermal analysis methods and their application in ANSYS.

  • Active Top Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE

  • Direct & Meaningful Impact: Your engineering will directly contribute to protecting those who serve, on products of critical national importance.

  • High Autonomy & Ownership: Own hardware from the first sketch to the field, with the freedom to innovate and see your designs through to deployment.

  • Cutting‑Edge Challenges: Tackle first‑of‑their‑kind engineering problems that push the boundaries of what's possible on the modern battlefield.

  • Collaborative & Expert Team: Work alongside a highly skilled, passionate group of engineers in a culture of mentorship, knowledge sharing, and mutual support.

  • Professional Growth: Continuous learning, advanced professional development, and a clear path forward within a rapidly expanding company.
