Cozzini, LLC, a global leader in food processing equipment, seeks a Mechanical Drafter to join our Algona, IA engineering team. You will transform concepts into precise manufacturing docs, support production and product development, and collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and QA to ensure production-ready drawings and BOMs.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to standards.

Formación

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Drafting, Design Technology, or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and ANSI drafting standards.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience supporting machining, fabrication, or welding operations is preferred.
• Food processing equipment or industrial machinery experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Create, modify, and maintain detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Develop manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and production documentation for fabricated and machined components.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, industry best practices, and ANSI dimensioning standards.
• Support engineering teams with design revisions and drawing updates.
• Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and maintain drawing revisions.
• Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Create and manage manufacturing packages, plot files, and production work orders.
• Establish and maintain part numbers and product structures within the MRP system.
• Collaborate with production, machining, welding, and quality teams to resolve drawing/documentation issues.
• Support implementation of design changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing discrepancies and ensuring documentation accuracy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Cozzini is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Drafter to join our Engineering team in Algona, Iowa. In this role, you will transform engineering concepts into accurate manufacturing documentation that supports production, quality, and product development. You will work closely with engineers, manufacturing teams, and project stakeholders to ensure drawings, Bills of Materials, and technical documentation are complete, accurate, and production-ready.
