Job summary

Cozzini, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the execution of custom protein-processing equipment and integrated food-processing systems. You will manage projects from handoff through design, manufacturing, installation, and customer acceptance, ensuring on-time delivery and conformance to specifications.

Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, and Field Service to coordinate activities, resolve challenges, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in project engineering or capital equipment manufacturing.
• Experience with custom equipment, food processing systems, protein processing equipment.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and ability to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and specs.
• Strong project management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from Sales handoff through installation and final customer acceptance.
• Develop project plans, schedules, equipment layouts, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, and Field Service teams throughout project execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Manage drawing approvals, project documentation, testing, and quality requirements.
• Support equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
• Identify and resolve technical, scheduling, and project-related challenges.
• Communicate project status, risks, and changes to customers and internal teams.
• Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives.
• Support additional engineering and operations activities as needed.

Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, and Field Service, you will coordinate project activities, resolve challenges, and help deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Project Engineering, Applications Engineering, Sales Engineering, or capital equipment manufacturing.
• Experience with custom equipment, food processing systems, protein processing equipment, or other industrial machinery preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Strong project management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and budgets simultaneously.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and customer-facing teams.
• Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, equipment installations, startup support, and commissioning activities.
