Job summary

Dayton-Phoenix Group is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and implement mechanical systems from concept through production. You will perform CAD design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing support while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer and product requirements.

The role involves creating detailed drawings with GD&T, reviewing stress/thermal analyses, supporting prototypes, and interfacing with vendors for materials and fabrication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Create detailed engineering drawings with tolerances and GD&T.
• Review engineering analyses (stress, thermal, vibration).
• Support prototyping and testing, including fixture design and test plans.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams for manufacturability.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare BOMs, specifications, and assembly instructions.
• Interface with vendors on materials and fabrication methods.
• Provide technical support to sales for quotes and requests.
• Test and evaluate designs and interpret data against specs.
