Job summary

Cindavi in Alabama is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own critical mechanical systems, including HVAC, nitrogen handling, and compressed oxygen, from concept through fabrication and site installation at a highly regulated facility.

You will prepare design packages, review drawings, provide vendor oversight, and coordinate with Construction to resolve field questions and ensure quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to perform fundamental hand calculations.
• Experience with ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of critical mechanical systems, including HVAC, nitrogen gas handling, compressed oxygen, and nitrogen purge gas systems.
• Prepare, review, and issue comprehensive design packages, specifications, drawings, test plans, and calculations.
• Provide vendor oversight for procurement, reviewing design documentation and participating in Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.
• Coordinate closely with the Construction team to resolve field inquiries, perform walk-downs of installed equipment, and ensure accurate installation.
• Ensure all piping routing and isometric designs meet design basis requirements and quality program standards.
