Job summary

GE Vernova in Greenville, NC is seeking a mechanical engineer to design and analyze composite blade structures, perform DFMEA and support design reviews. You will use CATIA, ANSYS, and internal tools to evaluate loads and drive robust blade performance.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and willingness to travel domestically/internationally; you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and support factory issues with proactive design improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.
Strong oral and written communication skills are desired.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.

Responsibilities

Perform design analysis and evaluation of projects using solid engineering principles.
Design and analyze composite blade structures with load evaluations using CATIA, ANSYS, and in-house tools.
Identify key design risks and mitigate via DFMEA for blade structures.
Present/review designs in design reviews and support production/quality investigations.
Improve blade acceptance criteria and assist factories with quality and defect handling.
