Job summary

MKS Inc. in Franklin, MA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to partner with Operations on process improvements for the Optical Filters Business Unit. You will report to the Production Manager and contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and packaging.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, at least two years of CNC experience, and the ability to write G-code. Robotics, automation, and PLC experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• At least two years of experience with CNC machines.
• Ability to write G-code programming.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of new CNC machines and develop capabilities of existing equipment.
• Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment and packaging.
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
• May direct support personnel in detailed design, testing and prototype fabrication.
