Job summary

MKS Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to partner with Operations and support process improvements for the Optical Filters Business Unit. You will report to the Production Manager and drive design, testing, and deployment of CNC-driven manufacturing improvements.

The role emphasizes CNC machine implementation, feasibility studies, and hands-on development of equipment and packaging, with opportunities to lead small teams in prototyping and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least two years of experience with CNC machines.
• Ability to write G-code programming.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of new CNC machines and develop capabilities of existing equipment.
• Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment and packaging.
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
• May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
