Job summary

University of Notre Dame is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering expertise and support for campus utilities, maintenance, and building systems. The role covers design, commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, including power plant components and distribution networks.

You will review designs, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage projects with significant mechanical content, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure reliable campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required/preferred.
• Seven (7) or more years of relevant professional engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering expertise and technical support to the Utilities & Maintenance Departments.
• Design mechanical engineering projects and prepare necessary engineering documentation independently or with outside firms.
• Review mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to deliver projects.
