Job summary

Spartan Emergency Response (Spartan ER) designs, develops, and tests mechanical components, engines, and controls for emergency vehicles. You will work with CAD/CAE tools to create drawings and validate designs through calculations and testing, applying lean manufacturing concepts on the plant floor.

Entry-level engineers collaborate with production teams and leadership to address design challenges, maintain high standards, and deliver robust packages for manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of related experience typical for the role.
• Experience with CAD/CAE tools and engineering analysis is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing, developing, executing, and evaluating tests for mechanical products and components.
• Use CAD/CAE to develop structural designs and produce engineering drawings.
• Verify designs using calculations and analytical methods.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles and support changes through standard processes.
• Communicate with production and leadership on progress and issues.
