Job summary

Horton Emergency Vehicles seeks an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems. You will use CAD/CAE tools to model designs, create drawings, and verify performance with calculations and analyses.

In this role you will participate in fabrication and assembly tasks, support process improvements, and help implement engineering changes with proper documentation. Bachelor's degree required; 0–2 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Typically 0–2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing, developing, executing, and evaluating testing and specifications for mechanical products.
• Use CAD/CAE to develop structures, model new designs, and produce engineering drawings.
• Verify designs through calculations and analytical techniques.
• Understand manufacturing processes with emphasis on metal fabrication and assemblies.
• Execute engineering changes through established processes and documentation.
