Job summary

WSP in Denver, CO is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Property & Buildings Team. You will contribute to design, development, and construction of mechanical systems for building projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of post-education experience in mechanical engineering design for building systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and building mechanical systems design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance for the design, development, and construction of mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects.
  • Support HVAC system design including air distribution, hydronic systems, controls, and related building systems.
  • Assist with research, concept development, and preparation of construction documents and specifications.
  • Perform mechanical engineering calculations (e.g., load calculations) and support system sizing and selection.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
  • Contribute to technical reports and presentations to support project findings and recommendations.
