Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Atlanta, GA office to support the Property and Buildings Team. You will work on infrastructure, building projects, and the design, development, testing, and inspection of mechanical systems across public and private sectors.

The role emphasizes data collection, site surveys, load calculations, and coordination with engineers and regulators, with opportunities to apply AutoCAD/CAM and other design tools, deliver high quality reports, and contribute

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; EIT certification preferred.
  • Experience 3–5 years in mechanical design/engineering.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD/CAM and building infrastructure design.
  • Strong communication, writing, and coordination with regulators.

Responsibilities

  • Assist due diligence, design, development, and inspection of mechanical systems for infrastructure and buildings.
  • Support load calculations, design requirements, and operating strategies for proper installation.
  • Prepare reports, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with permits and standards.
  • Contribute to project scoping and cost/material labor estimation.
