MISTRAS Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer in Anchorage, Alaska, to provide contract engineering support for ConocoPhillips Alaska. The role partners with Operations, Maintenance, and Asset Integrity teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility operation.

The engineer will apply expertise across mechanical systems, assist with equipment evaluations, and contribute to small capital and maintenance projects while coordinating with ConocoPhillips staff engineers on

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Demonstrated experience supporting oil and gas production facilities, petrochemical, refining, pipeline, or similar industrial operations.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment inspection, maintenance, and repair methodologies.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Provide mechanical engineering support to Operations, Maintenance, and Asset Integrity teams across Alaska assets.
• Assist company mechanical engineers in evaluating the condition and integrity of piping systems, pressure vessels, storage tanks, HVAC systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Develop and recommend practical repair solutions to support safe and reliable operations.
• Review engineering drawings, calculations, technical specifications, and vendor documentation to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.
• Support the execution of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and small capital improvement projects.
• Assist in troubleshooting routine and emergent field issues while providing timely engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure engineering solutions meet safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Promote compliance with ConocoPhillips engineering standards, industry codes, and asset integrity programs.
