Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Air Vehicle team at Eglin AFB, FL.

The role requires strong collaboration across teams, evaluating vendor analyses, and ensuring airworthiness, safety, and performance throughout the program lifecycle. The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, systems or an equivalent engineering discipline, possess a SECRET clearance (TOP SECRET eligible), and be prepared for a full-time on-site assignment with

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, systems or equivalent.
• Active SECRET DoD security clearance required at hire and TOP SECRET eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide engineering recommendations on vendor's change notices, corrective actions, and design changes.
• Ensure design changes meet or improve system performance and requirements.
• Review and provide technical recommendations for contractor deliverables (e.g. variances, test plans, test reports).
• Perform independent assessment of vendor analyses, models, and tests for airworthiness and system verification.
• Determine and characterize impacts or risks to airworthiness, safety, or system performance.
