Job summary

LER TechForce is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Technical Professional II for onsite work in Auburn Hills, MI. You will design and validate air intake systems for ICE and hybrid vehicles, coordinate CAD/CAE, prototyping and testing, and document results.

Occasional supplier coordination, on-site plant support, and DFMEA/DVP&R activities are expected. The role requires ABET-accredited engineering degree, strong communication, travel readiness, and ability to work in remote or hybrid environments

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead and manage suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (US/Canada/Mexico).
• Working knowledge of air intake systems and components.
• Proactive communication with teammates and stakeholders.
• Ability to operate effectively in remote or hybrid environments.
• General CAD knowledge; spreadsheets and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate air intake systems for ICE and hybrid vehicles.
• Coordinate CAD design, CAE, prototyping, and testing, plus document activities.
• Support sourcing activities and track supplier progress to milestones.
• Provide onsite support at engine/vehicle assembly plants as needed.
• Contribute to DFMEA and DVP&R to minimize risk and cost.
• Support quality concerns, process changes and cost reduction after launch.
