Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Support System Testing to join the Omen team. You’ll design, build and test novel Ground Servicing Equipment and associated launch/recovery systems, driving rapid development and field-ready solutions.

You’ll own mechanical design from evaluation through prototyping to customer demonstrations, develop concise test plans, and collaborate with Vehicle, Mission and Support System teams to ensure robust, safe

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 3+ years in aviation, aerospace, or product development environments with test experience.
• Experience with land and maritime operation, logistics, and maintenance of fielded systems.
• Security clearance eligibility in US, UK, or Australia.
• Strong ownership and bias for action in fast-paced settings.
• Defense industry or military service background is desirable.
• HV/battery powertrain experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design of new Support System Equipment from evaluation to customer demo.
• Develop and execute right-sized test plans for ground servicing equipment.
• Create full-scale vehicle system mock-ups to assess configurations.
• Draft SOPs for support system evolutions across diverse environments.
• Provide feedback to design teams on usability in the field.
• Identify land and maritime test environments and facilities.
• Maintain configuration control of development assets.
