Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking a Sr. Development Test Engineer to join the Air Dominance & Strike team. You will shape how our air vehicle systems fly, work with design engineers to solve hardware issues, optimize performance, and uphold rigorous safety standards.

Responsibilities include leading test campaigns, designing setups, analyzing data, and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a related engineering field.
• High competence with, and fluid use of engineering first principles.
• BS, MS or PhD in an engineering discipline.
• Must be eligible to obtain / maintain US Security Clearance.
• Must be able to perform physical efforts including standing for extended periods and lifting and carrying material or equipment up to 25 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution of structural, performance, and environmental development testing on air vehicles, missiles and launch systems.
• Lead test campaigns including test planning, test setup design, test execution, data analysis, and equipment design/fabrication.
• Generate work instructions to direct and instruct technicians in the fabrication and integration of test articles and equipment.
• Operate data acquisition and control systems, as well as thermal chambers, electrodynamics shakers, and fluid power systems.
• Use your experience as a Sr. Engineer to mentor and guide junior engineers.
