X-Bow Systems is expanding and is looking to fill a new position, from Junior to Senior level, for consideration.

About Us: X-Bow Systems is a cutting-edge aerospace technology company focused on revolutionizing solid propellant propulsion systems for space exploration and defense applications. Our team of innovative engineers and scientists is committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in rocket propulsion. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

About the Role: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design, analysis, component specification, integration, and commissioning of facilities required for 21st-century energetic material and Solid Rocket Motor manufacturing. You will join a multidisciplinary team responsible for requirement verification, upgrades, anomaly resolution, hardware and control subsystem design, analysis, testing, and deployment related to a disruptive new method for nitrocellulose production. Success in this role involves identifying blockers, guiding processes to address anomalies, verifying requirements, and delivering on the master schedule while adhering to environmental and safety standards. To excel, you should have demonstrated success in fluid mechanics analysis, mechanical design, thermal/stress analysis, and testing, with hands-on experience in defining industrial concepts of operations (CONOPS) and commissioning complex industrial/chemical systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Design, analysis, manufacture, and testing of energetic materials or chemical processing facilities
  • Experience with common manufacturing and fabrication techniques
  • Scoping pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, ovens, flow meters, etc.
  • Collaboration experience with Data, Automation, and Controls engineers
  • 5+ years' experience with SolidWorks CAD and PDM or equivalent
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of around 5 engineers
  • Leadership experience is a plus for one open position
  • Analysis skills ranging from basic notebook work to advanced simulations involving stress, fluid flow, thermal, and electrical power
  • Hands-on electro/mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Must be a US Person as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
