Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to manage the Sabre 3D POA within the Electrofill Engineering Operations Team. You will lead the Sabre 3D roadmap, collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to translate needs into implementation, and maintain BOM configurations across production systems.

You will work on CRs/ECNs, support design reviews, and coordinate with multiple internal and external groups to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 5+ years experience, or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills.
• Familiarity with Sabre 3D, POA, tool configurations and dependencies; SAP/TC-PLM/CQ knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Sabre 3D POA within Electrofill Engineering Operations.
• Lead Sabre 3D roadmap for planning cut-ins of new features and CIP.
• Coordinate with Product Management & Engineering to translate needs into implementation.

This position covers a large and diverse area of ownership, including but not limited to:Management of Sabre 3D POALeading the Sabre 3D roadmap for planning cut-ins of new features, CIP, addressing OB situations, etc.Working with Product Management & Engineering to understand their needs and translate them into implementationMaking redline updates to the Visio to add, remove, or modify optionsUnderstanding BOM management best practices and applying them in a scalable fashion to production BOMs & POAWriting the item text used in the POA BOMWorking within Engineering Operations to define BOM updates needed & ensure their accuracyManaging the strategy of CRs & ECNs to ensure the PG's needs are metWorking with engineers to fill out & present Engineering Operations owned slides in design reviewsAssisting the NSR team with any questions regarding the POA and possible configurationsAnswering general questions and inquiries relating to any of the aboveYou'll work and closely collaborate with several internal and external groups: Product Management, PG Engineering Management, PG Engineers, LIGHT, KATs and Customer Teams, Operations, Supply Chain, and Configuration Engineering.Position will have extensive interaction with onshore and offshore PG Engineers.Who we’re looking forMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent experience.Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills.Highly desired: Familiarity and experience with the Sabre 3D product and POA, and understanding of tool configurations and options, and their inter-dependencies.Creative thinking skills are very important.Familiarity with SAP, TC-PLM, and CQ.Attention to detail and a drive for accuracy is a must.Ability to multi-task across multiple, competing priorities in a dynamic environmentPreferred qualificationsFlexibility to operate in several different areas of ownership, and being a self-driver, are a big plus.Knowledge of the Product history, or being able to determine it accurately, will be vital, as well as configuration dependencies.Knowledge of Change Management methodologies is a strong plus.Knowledge of Program Management methods and experience in Product Development & Release (PDR) procedures.Familiarity with engineering modelling software such as Creo or NX is a plus.This is not a design intensive position but technical acumen is important.Our commitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
