Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. seeks a Mechanical Engineer 2 for our Decatur, AL facility. You will design and implement manufacturing processes, sequence operations, inspect machinery, and drive continuous improvement to ensure quality and schedule integrity.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 2+ years of related experience, and familiarity with GD&T and blueprints. SAP experience and willingness to work extended hours are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited college.
• Experience reading blueprints and interpreting geometrical tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and good documentation of observations.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing manufacturing processes and planning for multiple build items.
• Designing sequence of operations for hardware in the work center.
• Inspecting machinery performance and verifying efficiency.
• Collaborating with design engineers to meet design requirements for manufacturability.
• Implementing MBOM and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
